However, you may not compete in the next round until the current one has finished. You may come back to the competition, but you cannot make up any rounds you may have missed. Also, you may not enter the competition after the first 3 rounds have concluded.

RECORDS

Queensland Records are Queensland Masters Athletics Association members records. They do not include "records" for non association members. (Competitors who think they may break a track record) should ask the Chief Timekeeper to have 3 watches on their run. For events from 2000 metres upwards, the competitor is required to have a lap scorer to record the laps, as well as 3 watches. For sprints and jumps, a wind gauge is required. For throws and jumps, an approved fibre-glass or steel tape (for World Records) must be used. Lap Scoring sheets must be handed in to the Recorder.

Records will not be allowed unless the above conditions are met. Queensland Records set in QMAA Competition are noted by the State Statistician. Australian and World Records must be applied for on an Official Form. See the Statistician.

A Masters Athlete setting a record (consistent with the above conditions), in any other recognised competition such as QA Interclub or Country Events run by Registered Officials, must write down all the details on the day of competition, signed by Officials, and returned with a copy of the event sheet to the Statistician as soon as possible. Please ask the state statistician for the official forms for World, Australian and Queensland Records to keep on hand. The Record Application forms are also available for download in the record section of this website.
Note : A copy of a lap-scoring sheet is also required for distance events.
